Learning all about what’s NEXT with Google Cloud

In late August, our US team joined leaders from around the world at Google Cloud NEXT in San Francisco, where we were able to gain valuable insights into how Google is pushing forward innovation across their business. Our team had a blast understanding how Google is integrating the latest technological advancements like gen-AI to solve some of their customers’ greatest challenges.

We were excited to meet with Googlers face to face and see customers highlighted across the event. From sessions on the future of AI to security panels and engaging booths (Wiz’s nod to The Wizard of Oz was one of our favorites), there was so much to explore and learn about the new way to cloud.

Here are some of the things that made us excited. What were your takeaways from NEXT?

  1. Generative AI

The hot topic of the conference! Many new features are coming soon, with the launch of Duet AI. Google’s enterprise early adopters/beta testers across various industries have been leveraging Vertex AI to enhance performance and increase the speed to innovation. In fact, Google has seen 15x more customers engaging with generative AI.

The launch of Duet AI and Google Workspace will also revolutionize how customers can connect, organize, and create at all levels of scale. We’re excited to test these features out at distillery. Will all our emails be written by AI in the near future? Maybe!

2. Google Chat

Speaking of Google Workspace, Chat announced over 40 new features that are in the pipeline for Q3 and Q4. The excitement in the room was palpable, with thumbs up from happy customers and enthusiastic applause. We’re just as excited to see what we can do with the new integration between Google Groups and Spaces, with more ways to make company-wide announcements, and connect as a team! It all starts with a ping.

3. Geo-sustainability

We’ve been working with the geo-sustainability team behind the scenes so we were especially excited to see the products officially launch at Google Cloud NEXT. With the new Solar API, Air Quality API, and Pollen API in Google Maps Platform, businesses can continue to innovate in the sustainability space, finding ways to encourage consumers to invest in solar, or helping those with health concerns closely monitor air-quality that can be crucial to their well-being.

We are excited to work with Google in promoting these advancements in the AI space and to share the exciting and impactful work that Google is leading by amplifying their customers’ voices. We’ll also be testing out the new features in our own workspace to truly experience the new way of working.

Of course, before we wrap up, we have to give honorable mention to the LL Cool J x The Roots concert, the old-school arcade games, and the puppies! Just a few of the many things that made Google Cloud NEXT a week to remember.
